"For too long we've seen our neighborhoods, parks, roads and commercial zones neglected while developers receive tax breaks for projects that erase our history and push out small businesses and long-time residents. We’ve seen crime and homelessness rise with the same ineffective and inhumane solutions that waste resources. And too often, we’ve seen plans and policies that were made with limited notice or real community input. That's why I’m running for City Council.
How long shall we stand aside and look?
We need bold, community-centered leadership that pushes for transparency and moves resources where they need to be. I kept my word that I would do that in TUSD and I look forward to doing the same for the City of Tucson. Vote for me if you want to change the status quo."
